AI Data Centre

Terms of Service

Effective 16 August 2026

These terms govern use of the AI Data Centre website, weekly digest, REST API and MCP server (the "Service"), operated by AI Data Centre ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

1. Business use only

The Service is a business-to-business information product intended for use in the course of a trade, business or profession. It is not offered to consumers.

2. What the Service is

We aggregate and enrich planning-application information published on public registers by UK local planning authorities (via the PlanIt aggregator and authority portals) and other open data. Values such as capacity (MW), floor area, stage and site grouping are derived automatically by software from free-text descriptions and may be incomplete or wrong. Every record links to its source; you must verify against the source before relying on it.

3. No advice; no warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". It is information, not planning, legal, investment, engineering or other professional advice. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Third-party sources may change, throttle or withdraw data at any time and we do not guarantee continuity of any source.

4. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that: (a) we are not liable for any indirect, consequential or special loss, loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, goodwill, data or anticipated savings, or for decisions made in reliance on the Service; and (b) our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in that period (or £100 if you paid nothing).

5. Plans, payment, cancellation

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed in advance via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via the Stripe customer portal or by emailing support@ai-datacentre.co.uk; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and partial months are not refunded. We may change prices on 30 days' notice by email. Failed payments may result in suspension of access.

6. Licence and acceptable use

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the data you obtain through the Service for your internal business purposes, including within your own products and analyses. You must not: resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service or substantially all of its data as a competing dataset; share API keys outside your organisation (Team plan: up to 5 keys); circumvent rate limits or free-tier restrictions; or use automated means to extract data beyond your plan. Underlying public-register data remains subject to the applicable public licences (e.g. Open Government Licence). We may suspend or terminate access for breach.

7. Free tier

The free tier is provided for evaluation, may be rate-limited or changed at any time, and carries no service commitment.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service; if we discontinue a paid plan we will refund any prepaid unused period pro rata, which is your sole remedy.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, enrichment, digest text and database structure are our property or that of our licensors. Public-register facts remain public. Trade marks belong to their owners.

10. Complaints and disputes

Complaints: email support@ai-datacentre.co.uk — we aim to acknowledge within 5 business days. Billing disputes should be raised with us first; you may also use Stripe's dispute process. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

11. General

If any provision is unenforceable the rest remains in force. These terms are the entire agreement between us regarding the Service. We may update them by posting the new version here; material changes will be emailed to subscribers 14 days before taking effect.
