Privacy Notice
Effective 16 August 2026Controller: AI Data Centre. Contact: contact@ai-datacentre.co.uk.
What personal data we process
- Subscribers: email address, plan, Stripe customer/subscription IDs, API key (stored hashed), API usage counts, and emails you send us. Payment card details are handled by Stripe and never reach us.
- Website/API visitors: IP address and request metadata in server logs and short-lived rate-limit counters.
- Planning-register data: the dataset consists of information about planning applications (site addresses, descriptions, references, dates, statuses). We do not store or publish names of applicants, agents or case officers. Where a site address may relate to an individual's property, it is reproduced from the public register maintained by the local planning authority under statutory duty; we process it on the basis of legitimate interests (making public-register information more accessible for business use) and provide a link to the authoritative source.
Why and on what basis
- To provide the Service and take payment — performance of a contract.
- To send the weekly digest and service emails to subscribers — performance of a contract; you can stop at any time by cancelling.
- Security, rate-limiting, abuse prevention, analytics in aggregate — legitimate interests.
- Tax and accounting records — legal obligation.
- We do not send marketing email to non-subscribers without consent and we do not sell personal data.
Processors and transfers
Stripe (payments) and Cloudflare (hosting, database, email delivery). Some providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards (UK IDTA / adequacy).
Retention
Subscriber records: for the life of the subscription and up to 6 years after for tax/legal purposes. Server logs and rate-limit counters: up to 30 days. Planning-register data: retained as an ongoing historical dataset.
Your rights
You may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing by emailing contact@ai-datacentre.co.uk. If a record in the dataset concerns you personally and you object to its inclusion, tell us the reference and we will assess suppression promptly. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
